It all begins with the bath
A few notes regarding ear cleaning
A dogs ears are very sensitive and require regular maintenance to prevent infections. Your dogs visit to the salon will include a gentle cleansing of the outer ear as we move slightly towards the inner ear, to the point where we feel resistance. Essentially we try to do just enough to not cause or hide problems that should be treated by a vet.
Vigorous cleaning can result in damage to the inner ear, and have some of the same negative reactions as ear hair plucking can cause in some dogs. Speaking of ear hair removal, we require your vet's authorization before we will pluck ear hair.
We err on the side of caution when it comes to ear cleansing and hair removal, just as we do with all of our services.
Everything costs money but hey, our dogs are worth it, right?
